Super Fluid Shooter

Super Fluid Shooter was an attempt to realize a 2D Shooter with Fluids. Greatly inspired by Pixel Junk Shooter, it had some nice graphics and smooth particle hydrodynamics fluids.

It featured some nice physics:
- Rope
- SPH (32K particles on a 2Ghz CPU single threaded)
- Distance field for collision detection and response
- Realtime distance field computation for moving objects

My friend Holi made some lovely test scene.

C++ with nvidia CG and FBX SDK. Levels were built in 3D Studio Max.

This early development video highlights sponge physics and realtime lighting

One key to gameplay with fluids is heat propagation. You could evaporate water using a laser beam.
